Data Analytics & Insights Specialist - Global

Our client a leading FTSE Pharmaceutical organisation, who employ 100,000 members of staff Globally, are going through a large transformation project which as a result has opened a number of vacancies in their global Procurement function.

They are now seeking an Analytics & Insights Specialist, and as part of the Global Procurement organisation you will report directly to the Analytics & Insights Manager.

You will be a part of the Strategy & Performance team focusing on business intelligence and data analytical services deliverables across Pharma and Diagnostics.

The Analytics and Insights Specialist responsible for the delivery and development of reliable business intelligence and data analytical services which ensure data-driven decision making throughout the Global Procurement organization.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for ensuring effective and proactive business partnering with specified global, local and/or regional Procurement stakeholders.

Translate the business needs to deliver business intelligence data analysis that drive effective data-driven decision making.

The role contributes to the development of appropriate strategies to continuously adapt and improve data analytics and business

Develop and guide Global Procurement staff, as appropriate, in analytics and insights tools and services.

Deliver insights for effective decision making by understanding strategic priorities.

Implement and define metrics and KPI's relevant for required categories, regions or functions to enhance day-to-day transparency.

Support continuous improvement by providing input into the development of meaningful analytics offerings to further enhance Global Procurement quality, efficiency, and effectiveness.

Drive service delivery change initiatives and issue resolution by partnering across various stakeholders to determine and anticipate evolving data analytics needs

Ensure timely communication and reporting. Be responsible for Analytics and Insights related communication and reporting to identified stakeholders.

In alignment with the Capability Building function, provide content input and delivery support for Analytics and Insights specific training.

Person Specification:

Relevant Bachelor degree or equivalent

Experience of working in an analytics role within a procurement function preferred

Strong Microsoft Office, Business Intelligence experience and database knowledge.

Skills in dashboarding tools such as Tableau.

Extensive experience with analytical software such as Spotfire.

Demonstrated problem solving and project management skills coupled with an ability to work in a changing environment with multiple priorities.

Excellent communication and presentation skills to multiple levels of the organisation.

Experience in any area of SAP ERP and Procurement systems such as Ariba is desired.

Pharmaceutical industry or management consulting experience, along with an understanding of reporting processes, is desired.
