Are you an experienced lawyer passionate about construction contract law? Do you thrive in international environments and want to shape high-profile projects that leave lasting impressions worldwide?
We are looking for a Lawyer with strong expertise in construction contracts to join this global team on a hybrid working basis. In this role, you will combine your legal expertise with a hands-on approach to support ambitious projects across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. You'll be open to frequent worldwide travel, and welcome the challenge of building a function.
Responsibilities:
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with customers, subcontractors, and suppliers
Manage the full contract lifecycle - from documentation to compliance and fulfillment
Handle supplements and extension of time (EOT) claims, ensuring risks are minimised and delays avoided
Prepare detailed contract status reports for management, with a focus on risks, compliance, and progress
Provide legal support on commercial contracts (e.g., leases, service agreements, software licenses)
Collaborate with People & Culture teams to ensure compliance with employment law in multiple jurisdictions
Act as a central contact for project managers, finance teams, and external legal advisors
Monitor and implement changes in construction law and regulations, including sustainability-related developments
Support and coach junior team members in contract management best practices
You are a confident communicator and analytical thinker who enjoys working across cultures and disciplines.
You bring:
A law degree (Bachelor's/Master's) or equivalent qualification
3+ years of relevant professional experience, ideally in Germany or the UAE
Expertise in FIDIC contracts, with hands-on experience managing supplements and EOT claims
Ideally, knowledge of German standard contracts (VOB/B and BGB)
Familiarity with commercial, labor, and HSE law
Fluency in German and English (C1-C2 level)
Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills
Structured, organised working style with an eye for detail
Proficiency with MS Office and contract management tools
