Manufacturing company based in Bavaria, Germany who develop innovative products are looking for a commodity buyer who will play an important role in their procurement department. The company is going through a transformation and it's exciting times to be part of it.

The successful candidate will be responsible for €60 million spend across direct commodities globally.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for €60 million spend for direct commodities
• Strategically collaborate with the cross-functional teams to influence and create unique purchasing methods
• Work directly with R&D to create unique and innovative products
• Play an important part in the global transformation and delivering global projects
• Reporting directly to Head of Purchasing
• 20% travel

Skills Experience Required

• Relevant degree, mechanical engineering or MBA is preferred
• Have minimum of 3-5 years relevant purchasing experience, in fast-paced organizations with exposure to innovative and new approaches to procurement
• Successful track record in purchasing and negotiations with suppliers globally
• Experience with purchasing direct materials such as: forging, metal, raw materials, fineshed parts
• Fluent in English, German B2
