I'm partnering with a respected public sector emergency service organisation in the East of England to recruit a Commercial Lead for their Commercial Team.

This is a key role responsible for delivering compliant, value-driven procurement and commercial activity across the organisation. You'll manage the full procurement lifecycle - from strategy and tender through to contract award and management - ensuring best practice, transparency and value for money.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end procurement exercises (low value to regulated thresholds)

  • Ensure compliance with the Procurement Act 2023 and internal governance

  • Drive cost efficiencies and consolidate spend across categories

  • Provide commercial advice on market conditions, risk and supply chain resilience

  • Embed social value, sustainability and ethical procurement principles

  • Analyse contract and financial data to identify savings opportunities

  • Support stakeholder engagement and deliver procurement guidance across the organisation

About You

  • CIPS Level 4 minimum (or working towards)

  • Public sector procurement experience

  • Strong knowledge of procurement regulations (including PCR2015 and the Procurement Act 2023)

  • Experience using e-tendering systems

  • Commercially astute with strong stakeholder engagement skills
