As a Sustainability Executive within Climate Change, you will be accountable for supporting in the design and implementation of our clients UK's Climate Strategy as part of the broader Sustainability strategy. This includes delivering a strategy and implementation plan, monitoring performance and reporting progress to UK and Group stakeholders.
You will work closely with the Climate Change Senior Manager, the Climate Change Executive will support to develop and deliver a robust Climate strategy through collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, particularly Risk and Group.
This is a 12- month fixed term maternity cover.
This role is hybrid working between home and 2 days in the office (1 day a week in London and 1 day a week in Milton Keynes office, starting from October).
About you:
You will be leading contributing to the development of the climate strategy leveraging expertise and knowledge of market trends, risk and opportunity analysis and the position of peers - engaging with business divisions to define climate change priorities and commitments ensuring alignment with business priorities with particular focus on the alignment of financed emissions.
This includes reviewing and supporting governance to empower the business to drive climate strategic actions and support coordination of working groups.
Big part of this rile is identify and collaborate with external bodies and organisations as appropriate to drive execution of strategy and contribute to developing our client's external position on climate engaging relevant internal and external stakeholders.
What do you need to succeed:
- A good understanding of the climate agenda for financial services.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build relationships and influence.
- Strong analytic and research skills would be beneficial to this role.
- Ability to work to set deadlines with the ability to prioritise accordingly.
