The main purpose of this role is to manage performance in line with the organisations's performance management fromework and to produce reports and presentations for internal and external bodies.

Responsibilities:

  • To lead the co-ordination and programme management
  • To ensure that high quality information is made available to support theimprovement of service performance and efficiency
  • To produce information reports from data management systems
  • To ensure that necessary communication takes place with external stakeholders
  • To ensure timely delivery of charged services to schools and to look for opportunities to expand or improve services offered
  • To analyse local and national policy changes to identify the impact onsystems, processes and performance
  • To co-ordinate directorate contributions to improvementreviews
  • To provide sensitive leadership to Managers and Teams in relation to complex and contentious performance issues
  • To drive the development of good practice in relation to performance management and use of data
  • To drive value for money throughout the organisation through to enable efficient use of resources
  • To facilitate internal and external benchmarking to support quality and performance improvement
  • To oversee and manage data quality and audit arrangements

Experience required

  • Knowledge of Children's Services and Adults Social Care
  • Good knowledge of social care and education data and performance issues
  • Experience of data analysis, performance monitoring, performance improvement, external inspection or statutory data returns, and working with equalities data
  • Experience in delivery of policy and/or performance related project work in a public sector or similar organisation
