Role: Contract Manager

Salary: £55,000 + Pension

Hybrid: 2/3 days per week in the office

The ideal candidate will have experience in Procurement (2-3 years) with strong contract knowledge but my client is aware that the contract knowledge can be an area which can be improved/trained while working in the role.

Previous Security equipment or Imagery/X-ray equipment is highly attractive but not essential, secondary to that are goods and services/ products and services background with strong contract knowledge.

The role/Duties include:

  • Placement and management of robust contractual documentation including drafting and negotiation, liaising with contract and legal departments, contract assurance and support services including the delivery of all centralised contract amendments.
  • Maintaining well-informed effective category plans and developing innovative strategies which will be presented to relevant senior stakeholders, using creative commercial models.
  • Executing sourcing activity including valid evaluation criteria and methods which meet the obligations required by competition law, so the company are a fair procurer of goods and services.
  • Maintaining agreed processes for supplier management, claims management, benefits and savings and continuous improvement targets whilst meeting all contract, regulatory, risk-reward and exit strategy requirements.
  • Data analytics for supplier performance, spend and contractual compliance.

Ideal candidate skills include:

  • Proven experience in a variety of Procurement and Contracting models.
  • Experience delivering multiple projects to meet business affordability targets and achievement of Key Performance Indicators through strong Supplier Relationship Management.
  • Demonstrable Contract and Supplier Management Experience.
  • Experience with contractual documentation including bespoke contracts, NEC based or similar industry standard contracts and relevant negotiation and drafting.
