Category Purchasing Manager - Non Clinical

A growing healthcare organisation is seeking a non clinical category manager for a new role in an expanding procurement function.

As a key member of the Procurement team, you'll relish the opportunity to assist in the delivery of category management programme.

You will be a key player in the delivery of a specific strategic sourcing programme within the non-clinical category including IT, Estates & Facilities, Human Resources and other Corporate functions across the organisation, and contribute to a new division building a procurement function.

You'll have the opportunity to manage procurement projects in conjunction with our non-clinical departments. You will work to identify and manage procurements that deliver savings whilst ensuring a high level of patient care.

Key responsibilities:

Provide day-to-day procurement sourcing activities and business-led buying activities ensuring maximum possible Global Procurement impact.

Work with Procurement and Business stakeholders to understand requirements and execute the relevant sourcing process by applying appropriate methodologies and tools.

Execute escalated sourcing requests from site-based Procurement and provide a support role for site-based or regional Procurement as required.

Ensure that Procurement operational targets and metrics on customer service are delivered. Track and monitor these metrics where required.

Manage supplier contracts and engage with suppliers to ensure, quality of service and cost effectiveness.

Person Specification:

Business related degree preferable.

Background within Non-Clinical procurement either within a Healthcare or Pharmaceutical organisation preferred.

Business level fluency in English as well as primary business language of the site.
