Contract Type: Permanent - Full Time
Hours: Full time, 35 hours per week
Location: Stratford, with the ability to work from Sidcup or Manchester
Agile working (office based 20-40% 3-4 days working from home)
Salary from £49,675 to £54,000 based on experience and location plus Essential Car Users Allowance + Excellent Benefits

It is an exciting time to join their Group Procurement team. They have recently redesigned their structure to further improve their service with effective category management and business partnering, that strives for operational excellence!
They are looking to recruit an experienced Category Manager to Lead on the development, procurement and implementation of category strategies. As a Category Manager, you will have a commercial and compliant approach in developing appropriate routes to market and ensure that contracts awarded deliver value for money.
For this you will need to have a thrust for category knowledge, be able to conduct extensive market research and analysis, and be able to build and maintain successful supply chain relationships.
You will be part of a large group procurement function, reporting into a Senior Procurement Manager and working alongside fellow Category Managers, Procurement Managers and Procurement Officers.
Key Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Comprehensive and demonstrable experience end-to-end procurement activity, frameworks/DPS and other tender approaches.
- Experience of delivering high value complex procurement solutions
- Knowledge of and experience of drawing up contracts
- Able to demonstrate commercial and financial acumen,
- Able to prepare detailed framework/tender/contract documentation and reports
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Experience working in large, complex organisations managing significant stakeholder relationships
