Procurement Category Manager - Property / Professional Services

Are you a Senior Buyer looking for a step up into a Category Management role or currently a Procurement Category Manager with experience in Property / Professional Services in a Construction / FM environment?

My client, who are going through a transformation of their procurement function, are looking to expand the team further by attracting a Procurement Category Manger - Property / Professional Services. You will be tasked with managing a broad category portfolio which includes sourcing Structural Engineers, CAD, Engineers, Architects, Construction consultants, amongst other property related services.

This role will suit an ambitious individual who is looking to succeed in a FTSE100 business that can provide the support to allow you to progress your career in a 'best in class' procurement function.

Location: Hertfordshire (Post Covid - flexible working between office, home & sites)

Salary: Up to £55K + £5K Car + Bonus + Benefits

Role: Procurement Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Through influence and challenge develop strong working relationships with stakeholders to support, endorse and deliver sub category plans aligned to category procurement strategies to realise business savings and support innovation.
  • Build and deliver sub category plans aligned to Category Plans by being innovative and collaborative with various cross functional stakeholders.
  • Actively minimise revenue and capital costs through improved use of tools, processes and application of best practice. This will be achieved through a combination of influencing stakeholders and robust planning.
  • Consistently track and report on savings targets for specified sub-categories using the agreed process.
