An exciting opportunity has arisen for experienced Category Managers
You will be joining a capital delivery team within the Procurement and Commercial Function
The role will require 2 days a week on site
As a Category Manager you will assist in the build and drive of the Procurement Team, You will be providing support to the Senior Category Managers
Develop and agree category Specfics strategies, aligning with the Procurement stratergy and value management strategies.
Lead development of spend and supplier profiles for the category
Engage with Programme/ Project teams early on to identify any external third- party expenditure required and provide on- going commercial support.
Drive Cost reduction through standardisation, aggregation of demand, and actions to minimise tail spend within the category.
Establish Collabortive relationships internally and externally to align approaches, engage Procurement early in early party spend, and seek additional opportunities to maximise value 10%.
CIPS or Equivalent
Microsoft Office including advanced MS excel and Powerpoint.
Strong category Management and Managerial experience
In depth knowledge of one of the following Categories
E&C, Asset Purchase and Hire (Process & Hire)
IT, Telcoms, HR, Proffessional Services and FM.
Strong Communications skills
Working with PFI contracts an advantage
