Job: Category Manager

Salary: Circa £500p/d [6 Month FTC outside IR35]

Opportunity:

Currently looking for experienced Procurement professionals with key knowledge surrounding Public Procurement Regulations to add additional resource across a range of Categories including R&D Materials and Equipment, Professional Services, Facilities Management, Infrastructure & Capital Projects. You will join a rapidly changing organisation deeply embedded in the wider UK Manufacturing Sector with significant input on Industrial Strategy and UK economic growth.

This is a moment to contribute to a deep transformation programme using the stimulus and modernisation of existing working production and manufacturing for a marquee moment in your career.

They are looking to modernise the entire UK Manufacturing sector with help from government to be able to deliver an increased output for sustained build capacity.

There will be an emphasis on a move through a full digital transformation utilising an Alliance + Partnership model with a supply chain structure underneath. You will need to understand and navigate what the current barriers are to be able to overcome them - to achieve a needed 500% increase in output form current UK Manufacturing partners. You will play a critical role in investment into UK PLC and build long term strategies in order to deliver desired outcomes.

Core Function:

Implement and execute Category Management, Strategic Sourcing and Supplier Relationship Management for assigned categories, with the ultimate objective of leveraging and securing supplier base to support current and future business requirements, whilst mitigating risks.

SC Clearance desirable to apply but must be obtained to secure this role.
