Are you an ambitious and analytical Lead with Greenfield experience looking for a career defining challenge? This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the development of a 'Greenfield' Procurement function, supporting the newly appointed Chief Procurement Officer with the ongoing design and development of a new target operating model and subsequent Procurement function. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to help shape the Procurement function in a start up, sub brand of a leading Financial Services organisation.

Candidates must live or be in commutable distance to Milton Keynes for 2 days in Milton Keynes office every other week.

ROLE:

The Category Analytics Lead will work directly with Procurement Leadership in support of strategic activities that measure efficiencies and drive improvements.

These include but are not limited to supplier performance management, procurement trend analysis, spend reporting, category level analytics etc. They will also be responsible for owning and refreshing all critical analytic elements of the categories (e.g. spend cube, clean sheets, design-to-value, e-sourcing outputs) across all categories.

The role will primarily focus on how Procurement can support the business in making better decisions on overall procurement strategies. The individual will develop an Analytics Centre of Excellence (CoE) capability using a mixture of internal and external resources to support from an analytical perspective. This analytical capability will be demonstrated both in the beginning of the sourcing process to develop key business strategies as well as the latter part of the process to analyse bids and optimise scenarios to support the strategic goals. What you'll be doing:

Taking ownership of and refreshing all critical analytic elements of the categories (e.g. spend cube, clean sheets, design-to-value, e-sourcing outputs) across all categories.

Developing an Analytics CoE able to introduce leading new capabilities including Market Intelligence, Should Cost & Pricing models and a leading range of Category Intelligence.

Working closely with external providers to provide Procurement teams to draw insights from data and analysis. Develops deep dives into specified categories of spend and performs TCO modelling and other advanced analyses (e.g., clean-sheet).

Leveraging extensive datasets and various statistical software applications to develop and execute related quantitative analysis as well as existing & new tools to develop detailed opportunity assessments within defined categories.

Leading & driving the delivery of various Procurement initiatives and lead the support of global/regional projects which have wider Procurement implications.

What we're looking for:

Educated to Degree level or equivalent with professional accreditation of Procurement/Contract management organisation (CIPS/WorldCC etc)

Proven innovation catalyst, with hands on experience in modern sourcing work (analytics, innovation etc) and modern procurement operations (RPA, AI, Partnering, Outsourcing).

Track-record of leading multi-year strategic process: strategic, organisational, and problem-solving history to deliver sustained results.

Self-starter who proactively acts and recommends process and technology improvement opportunities.

Strategic thinking skills to create a robust business case, analyse commercial and business information and devise strategy.
