My client is part of an international global network of dairy farmers and provides consumers with dairy products. With over of 22,961 employees in 32 countries, the goal is to manage the entire production chain: from grass to glass and make the right sustainable choices.

My client hires and develops the most passionate people in their field to help build a better working world and is currently looking for a dynamic and motivated Carbon Certification Manager to work with the stakeholder and suppliers, providing technical expertise in strengthening value proposition in the voluntary carbon offset markets.

My client overall mission is to accelerate appropriate carbon certification standards at mass scale and speed to reverse the current climate crisis trends. The Carbon Certification Manager will play a critical role in support this mission by:

  • Contributing and improving internal carbon project processes and developing strategy.
  • Guiding carbon offset projects that support internal and external stakeholders.

This role is based in Amersfoort, with flexibility to work from home.

Your challenges include:

  • Project Management and Development: guide team in the development of carbon projects, determine feasibility of projects under different standards/methodologies, lead carbon Due Diligence, standardize carbon related project development processes.
  • Carbon Standard Expertise: lead project registration, identify the best methodologies for our carbon projects and stay up to date with new methodologies.
  • Identify opportunities for collaboration with other players and great stakeholder management.

To be successful in this role, you have:

  • Experience with carbon offsetting projects.
  • Involved in the creation and submittal of successfully registered carbon projects.
  • Working knowledge of all carbon accreditation bodies.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong project management and stakeholder's manager skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong personal management, planning, and collaboration skills.
  • Passion to solve the climate crisis.
