Capital Equipment Buyer

Our client is a Major Healthcare Organisation who are seeking an experienced Capex/Services Buyer, supporting the Category Manager and Head of Indirects & Capital Sourcing to identify and drive further value-added benefits in supply and cost reduction in Indirects and Capital product spend across the business.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Develop sourcing strategies for all relevant spend categories

• Manage and develop strong supplier relationships
• Engage with stakeholders in the business managing relationships to achieve cost savings required
• Develop tender documentation, executing end to end tendering process and manage supplier queries
• Support Category Managers in supplier negotiations, and interact with Buyers to share best practice and knowledge
• Ensure pricing accuracy in information systems
• Prepare savings report for relevant categories by working with the Procurement Business Analyst
• Take control of the purchase of materials, equipment and instruments for the business, establishing agreements and negotiating best price

Person Specification:

• Relevant experience in sourcing either capital products or services
• MCIPS desirable (or working towards MCIPS)
• Good IT literacy including MS PowerPoint and Excel
• Ability to work in a matrix management environment
• Ideal experience within the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry is preferred
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with people at all levels
