Reporting line: UK Procurement Director
Location: West of England - Flexible basis
Remuneration: £70,000-£80,000 + 17.5% bonus (can increase to 150%) + 10-12K car allowance
My client, Global Consumer Business is currently searching for a Capex Procurement Manager to join their team and become the right hand of the Procurement Director. This is a pivotal role designed to lead all facets of capital investment projects across UK Business Lines. The position involves tendering, negotiating, and contracting, adopting a comprehensive approach to investment project management, and delivering exceptional service levels in purchasing agreements.
Implement strategic sourcing and create negotiation strategies that align with company policies, ensuring comprehensive stakeholder engagement and communication.
Formulate effective sourcing strategies, establish selection criteria, and manage relationships with approved suppliers to achieve optimal cost, service, and quality.
Oversee the CAPEX project tender processes, from initial evaluation through to legal contract development, particularly focusing on major assets and plant machinery.
Cultivate collaborative relationships with internal teams, legal departments, and the Global Sourcing team to develop contracts and meet procurement objectives.
Maintain operational continuity by managing purchasing contracts and coordinating with business units to maximize value.
Monitor supplier performance against Service Level Agreements and provide actionable feedback to vendors.
Promote continuous development and improvement by staying informed on market trends and introducing innovative procurement methods.
The successful candidate will have spent the majority of their Procurement experience within Capital Expenditure, they will be a proactive individual that is not phased when working with senior stakeholders. Ideally the successful candidate will have CIPS or MCIPS qualifications and they will have a high commitment to customer/stakeholder relationship management.
