Are you an ambitious individual looking to forge a career in Procurement? Our client is an innovative, dynamic and agile market leader - looking to recruit an entry level Buyer role within their Group Procurement function. This is a fantastic development opportunity for an ambitious, hungry and driven individual, ideally demonstrating some commercial procurement experience, and with a desire to fast-track their career in a Procurement function undergoing significant transformation and up-skilling following the appointment of a high-profile CPO.

Role: Working as part of a small team of commercially minded, innovative Procurement professionals, you will be provided with an opportunity to provide valuable commercial support to a broad portfolio of business critical Procurement projects within a category portfolio of c£150m.

With a large pipeline of imminent projects this is a fantastic opportunity for you to develop a range of Procurement skills - encompassing Spend Analysis, Supplier Analysis, Tendering, e-sourcing and e-procurement. You will be provided with fantastic opportunities to support the full end to end tender process, helping compose RFI and RFP documents whilst being involved in the analysis and review of associated supplier responses. In turn, you will support supplier negotiations and benefit from hands-on coaching and mentoring in negotiation scenario's. You will work closely with the team to help prepare presentations and market insight for presentation to key stakeholders. As such, it is expected that you build relationships and work closely with both existing and potential suppliers in order to leverage valuable market insight in order to help support all aspects of performance improvement.

Experience:

  • Demonstrates some commercial experience - ideally with some exposure to Indirect Procurement
  • Analytical and logical nature, highly numerate with some experience of using Excel & PowerPoint
  • Confident communicator with an engaging personality
  • Degree qualified
