Buyer Indirects

Our client is a growing and innovative Pharmaceutical Organisation with locations in Europe, USA and Latin America, they are now seeking a driven and enthusiastic Buyer to join their team. As part of a local team of Buyers with a wider team based in Germany and regional locations you will be responsible for the following:

Key responsibilities:

• Manage spend of around £ 3million across Indirects including IT, HR, Marketing
• Build and maintain close relationship with local stakeholders and supporting Global Category
• Managers in definition and execution of global category strategies
• Lead regional tenders, negotiations and contracts for assigned local spend
• Manage supplier relationships
• Deputise for the Global Category Manager
• Working extensively with SAP - purchase orders

Person Specification:

• Degree or equivalent preferably in business
• 1-3 years relevant experience in operational procurement, either in Indirects or Directs considered
• Experience in procurement processes
• Specific knowledge in negotiation
• Excellent MS Office skills and knowledge of SAP, if you have worked through an SAP Implementation this would be beneficial
• It is essential that you are a car driver and have the ability to travel abroad on occasions to other office locations
