Our client a Major Global FMCG brand are seeking an experienced Buyer who will be involved in the development and implementationof strategies within Direct procurement of Packaging and Raw Materials.

Key skills:

Manage the procurement of selected packaging categories, including developing and implementing category plans for the spend portfolio

Drive better value, which includes reducing cost, improving sustainability, reducing risks and improving products.

Engage with stakeholders to develop and implement sourcing strategies

Conducting the end to end sourcing activity using the approved processes and e-sourcing platform

Working alongside packaging technologists to deliver packaging strategy for the business

Ensure you work closely with suppliers, delivering strong cost savings and added value

Represent the Procurement team on packaging related work activity

Deputise for the Category Manager when required

Person Specfication:

Excellent negotiation skills

Experience of end to end sourcing activity

Ideally knowledge of procurement of direct products with some packaging knowledge would be beneficial

Open and friendly with a 'can do' approach
