Associate HR Business Partner - East of England Salary £33,706 - £40,558 (Hybrid working - typically working from home 2-3 days per week for full time)

You will need to be ambitious, resilient, positive, innovative and excellent at building relationships with customer groups, the HR team and other stakeholders. Reporting to the HR People Partner you will provide specialist support advice and guidance to the local management team. You will therefore act as an interface between the operational management teams and centralised transactional services, ensuring there is effective communication.

You will be expected to work from home for a number of days a week but also be expected to be 'present' in your area and visit workplaces to build relationships and attend meetings. Depending on what area of the business you are assigned to, there could be local travel or region-wide which will be discussed further at interview.

This role will also be considered on a part-time basis.

Skills & knowledge:

  • You will have detailed and up to date specialist knowledge of employment legislation, HR best practice and equal opportunity issues.
  • Good presentation skills.
  • Computer literate with good word processing skills and able to use databases and spreadsheets.
  • Specialist HR procedural and policy knowledge across all areas of HR.
  • Analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Able to plan and prioritise work to meet deadlines.
  • Able to communicate effectively and with clarity and precision both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to negotiate with Trade Union representatives, managers & colleagues.

Experience:

  • Designing and implementing HR training modules.
  • Delivering training.
  • Experience of change management and carrying out job evaluations.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate CIPD or substantial evidence of continuing professional and personal development equivalent to this level.
  • Degree level qualification in HR or similar discipline.

Personal qualities:

  • Calm.
  • Personable.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships.
  • Responsive.
