Excellent 12-month global procurement buyer contract opportunity with a large FMCG company. Potential for extension of the initial 12-month contract.

Role is based in Amsterdam & offers flexible working/hybrid.

Hourly rate of ideally €50-95ph

Main Responsibilities:

• Conducts thorough spend analysis on ingredient/packaging sub-categories to identify new suppliers and assist/develop roadmap based on specified projects
• Work with a cross-functional team on Ingredients/packaging harmonization projects
• Support the category lead(s) with the implementation of sub-category sourcing strategies
• Executes the strategic sourcing process
• Builds strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to identify and develop future cost savings opportunities
• Works with local operations teams to reflect procurement systems with accurate pricing and onboard suppliers

Experience and Knowledge:

• Educated to a Bachelor's degree level
• Experience in Direct Procurement in the Food Industry
• Sourcing/procurement/purchasing experience and knowledge in ingredients/packaging
• Experienced in conducting supplier negotiation
• Can effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Experienced package procurement solutions (Ariba, Coupa, SAP, etc.)
• Proficiency in spreadsheet software (i.e., Microsoft Excel)
• Motivated-self-directed, detailed oriented, and high ownership
