The Background

Value Retail is a family owned company which creates and manages luxury shopping outlet destinations. There are 16 sites across the world including Bicester Village – the 2nd biggest foreign tourist attraction after Buckingham Palace. Investors brought in a CPO and following a due diligence exercise approached 1st Executive in order to staff a lean procurement function.

Our Approach

Having taken the time to understand the unique culture of the organisation (a management team based in the US and sites all over the world) as well as the agility and skill sets required, we then created bespoke marketing packs to showcase the Value Retail employer brand to the passive candidate market.

The Outcome

We have placed 11 senior level interims and filled 100% of Value Retail’s requirements.  We have now been engaged to back fill those roles with permanent staff and we are seen as a crucial part of the CPO’s change programme and future procurement strategy.
