One of the worlds leading biomedical organizations has an urgent requirement for a Temporary Internal Contact Tracer based in Hull £19.50 p/h


Role Overview: A Contact Tracer provides support to the organization in support of its efforts to manage its internal COVID-19 management process. The contact tracer is responsible for reaching out to people (employees and external contacts) who may have been exposed to COVID-19 to obtain information and provide guidance to interrupt ongoing disease transmission.


Responsibilities:

Ø (5%) Obtain and document relevant information, including contact demographics and other risk factors.


Ø (20%) Initiate prompt communication with employees exposed to COVID-19 (contacts) through text, phone calls, email, and other communication platforms as necessary. Every effort should be made to communicate with the contact telephone or video conference instead of in-person. Contact may also be via the employee's line manager or where employees may be hospitalized via their emergency contacts / next of kin.


Ø (5%) Employ dynamic communication and interpersonal skills, cultural competency/sensitivity, tactful language, and empathetic interviewing skills to build rapport and maintain trust with employees of varied backgrounds.


Ø (5 %) Verify the contact's identity during initial communications and prior to disclosing confidential information. Assure confidentiality and carry out efforts to locate and communicate with employees in a manner that preserves the confidentiality and privacy of all involved.


Ø (20%) Notify the contact of their potential exposure to COVID-19, following the company guidance as defined. Conduct notification of exposure in a manner that maintains the confidentiality of the employee (or person who was diagnosed with COVID-19) and ensures that the identity of the employee is NOT disclosed.


Ø (10%) Utilize a computer, tablet, and/or cell phone with appropriate access to required applications, databases, and/or web-based platforms, daily. Document pertinent information in COVID-19 contact tracing forms, and conduct data entry into the organization's data systems while adhering to protocols for completeness, timeliness, frequency and data privacy.


Ø (10%) Collaborate and coordinate with HR Consultancy Team to efficiently complete contact notification and monitoring assignments. Inform the team and update cases when attempts to communicate with a contact are unsuccessful. Elevate complex situations to Director, HR Consultancy for further guidance.
