Role: Supplier Relationship Manager (SRM)

Salary: Up to £75K + Excellent Benefits

Location: Multiple Locations UK Wide

Opportunity: Join a large existing team involved in Billion Pound projects delivering on strategically challenging and complex programmes within the MOD.

As the Supplier Relationship Manager (SRM) you can play a key role in managing a complex portfolio of business critical suppliers, whilst contributing to the on-going development and implementation of best in class SRM process, policy and methodology, driving both operational & strategic delivery, developing and implementing supplier performance management tools, whilst performing root cause analysis of supplier performance issues and working with suppliers developing and implementing recovery plans.

Role:

As a Supplier Relationship Management; using your experience of supplier risk and relationship management to create clear supplier strategies (commercial, contractual and risk) for a defined element of the supplier portfolio, you will ensure the requirements contractual obligations, Procurement policy, and business unit objectives are met and evidenced in regular routines. In turn, you will support the continued development and optimisation of SRM process and tools.

Reporting on business overview of supply chain status to prioritise suppliers needing support you will work collaboratively to train and coach cross functional teams, clarify requirements, assess risk, identify opportunities and intervene to improve, across the whole supplier business.

Experience:

Demonstrating excellent stakeholder engagement, influencing and management skills.

  • Demonstrates a depth of SRM or Vendor Management experience
  • Accountable for establishing a multi-functional approach to the mitigating of key business risks
  • Experience gained in complex, large and strategically challenging MOD programmes
  • Demonstrable experience of developing SRM process, policy and tools
  • Undertaking assessments of suppliers to determine capability, capacity and suitability for new requirements
  • Safety, People, Quality, Delivery & Cost improvement approach (SPQDC)
  • Knowledge of APQP/PPAP/FMEA quality principles
  • Lean / 6sigma CI experience
  • Ideally Degree qualified /SRM eqv
