Strong IT Procurement category lead for a global team. You must have SaaS sourcing expertise and enjoy an agile, data led environment where the procurement team are valued as a key strategic function. The business is fully aligned to e-commerce, are horizon scanning, embracing AI and making significant investment in new technologies. The stakeholder community is diverse and requires a curious, highly tech-focused procurement partner who has exceptional communication skills.
You will work from home with some business travel required to meet stakeholders and suppliers, most of whom will be based in N America. Please note you will need to be resident on East or Central timezone and legally be able to work in the US in order to be considered.
Role:
- Conduct thorough market research and analysis to understand the trends, risks, and opportunities within the IT category.
- Implement procurement strategies that align with the organization's objectives, focusing on cost reduction, quality improvement, and innovation.
- Manage supplier relationships
- Collaborate with cross functional internal stakeholders to optimise the IT supply chain
- Identify and mitigate risks, developing contingency plans
- Play a critical role in developing and implementing sustainable procurement practices.
- Horizon scan. Identify and evaluate opportunities for new products or improvements to existing ones that can drive company revenue growth. By leveraging insights from market analysis and supplier capabilities, the strategic procurement category manager collaborates with product development teams to bring innovative products to market, ensuring alignment with consumer demands and competitive differentiation.
You:
- Located on East or Central Time Zone
- Hold a Bachelor's degree
- Possess a minimum of five years of experience in a global procurement role
- Strong analytical skills with a comprehensive understanding of business analysis, costing, and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) models.
- Complete fluency in English, both written and verbal
- Willingness to travel globally around 10% of the time
