Senior Buyer - Laboratory Consumables

Our client, a Major Global Pharmaceutical organisation are seeking a Senior Buyer, to join the team and add value in this fast paced environment.

The Role:

As part of a team, you will be responsible for negotiating contracts and purchase material, equipment or services as required by the business in a fast-paced contract manufacturing GMP environment

You will interact with the global sourcing team improving purchasing procedures and be involved in various procurement projects.

You will purchase a variety of materials including laboratory capital equipment, reagents chemicals and utilities.

You will be expected to meet with suppliers, undertake regular contract reviews, building strong relationships and delivering savings as well as ensuring added value in the process

Person Specification:

Experience of working in a GMP manufacturing or regulation environment - background in R & D laboratories ideally

Ideally studying or qualified in CIPS

Ideal experience of working with SAP

Able to run projects of understanding of improvement projects - having implemented improvement procedures

Experience of being involved in quality/financial audits
