Role: Planning and Purchasing Manager

Location: Cambridge, UK

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 + Bonus + Shares + Private Medical

Are you an experienced end to end supply chain professional who understands low volume high value manufacturing and can bring your knowledge and experience to continue to grow and develop this global brand. I am looking for someone with extensive experience of complex planning and purchasing operations who can continue the remarkable trajectory of the business adding rigour and structure to support its continued growth.

Role

You will facilitate new product introduction, play a leading role in strategic commercial and supplier relationships, harnessing your operational knowledge to get the most out of suppliers and operate as a true partner with a shared vision and goals.

Outsourcing and mitigating risk in supply base whilst maximising quality and value across production this is a business critical role seen internally as core a part of the leadership team in determining both the direction and long term success of the business.

Split 50/50 across Purchasing and Planning your effectiveness and understanding of both will be key. You will need to manage inbound supply of products and services to deliver a minimum of 98.5% order fulfilment On Time and In Full (OTIF). Whilst simultaneously leading the strategic direction and the management of supplier relationships, particularly across a core group of high quality, high value suppliers.

You will work on site with suppliers and develop partnerships in order to create and maintain effective relationships designing and implimenting corrective and preventative action plans associated with supply chain challenges such as shortages, quality control and supplier risk management.
