A Global High-Tech company who are one of the key players in aerospace, defence and security (Based in Luton), have recently won the contract to upgrade the UK IFF capability on a significant number of platforms. 1st Executive are recruiting on behalf to identify a Procurement Manager / Supply Chain Manager to lead the Procurement activities of the Programme.

The primary role is to lead Procurement activities of the UK Programme and develop supply chain solutions for the Mode 5 worldwide campaigns. This will involve closely working with the Internal IPTs, external Suppliers and Partners.

Role:

  • A good working knowledge and understanding of Procurement within the Domestic and Export Defence & Aerospace industry and ability to apply them with minimal supervision and direction
  • Prime contracting experience is preferable
  • Knowledge of the defence export markets is desirable
  • Relationship building skills with cross-functional colleagues, customers and suppliers
  • Experienced in People Management influential at all levels both internally and externally
  • Culturally aware of typical defence export territories
  • As well as procuring hardware the ability to procure in-tangible services linked to design and development / professional services is required
  • Requires appropriate training to degree level or equivalent or significant relevant work experience
