Procurement Manager - Indirects Procurement

An exciting opportunity has arisen with our Major Global Client within the Leisure industry, for a Procurement Manager to join the Supply Chain and Procurement department within the Indirect Category Procurement area (which will include Marketing, HR, IT, FM and other Professional Services areas), with a spend of around £100 - £150 million.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead, coach and develop a team of Buyers and Senior Buyers (4/5 individuals), leading them through process change and development, articulating the need for change and building compelling propositions that team members and stakeholders alike can understand and support.

Lead collaboration with the Global and European Procurement teams, this role will design, develop and implement procurement plans and strategies that drive down costs and enhance the business performance.

You will act as a commercial business partner to various Senior Leaders within the business to ensure strategies, quality of service, best value and quality are delivered.

Play a leading role in the Supply Chain Leadership Team and procurement community driving forward procurement capabilities as a Subject Matter Expert to the business.

Lead internal stakeholders engagement and develop effective relationships, defining requirements and implementing effective sourcing strategies to support them.

Deliver procurement savings against target and work with Finance teams to ensure reporting of key metrics for cost savings and avoidance.

Lead strategic sourcing activities, including but not limited to: spend, market and supplier analysis, benchmarking, negotiations, and baseline analysis

Manage supplier relationships with key suppliers through regular reviews against agreed SLA's. Evaluate performance and review, negotiate and select supplier contracts.

As a global organisation you will be required to liaise with the wider business Procurement functions​assisting in defining and adhering to agreed policies, procedures & processes ensuring maintenance of good practice principals

Person Specification:

Have strong management and leadership skills, with experience of developing individuals and implementing best practice.

Be experienced in category management and development of sourcing strategies, with specific experience within Indirect Procurement.

Have excellent negotiating skills dealing with contracts of varying values and complexities and managing supplier Service Level Agreements

Be a concise and influential communicator, able to discuss complex issues with clarity and credibility to a cross functional audience of varied experience. Experience of partnering with senior leaders and stakeholders

Have excellent interpersonal skills with proven experience of engaging and influencing Senior level stakeholders
