Our client a Major Catering and Hospitality Organisation, are currently seeking an individual to join the team who has experience of purchasing non-food items, ie services, disposables, events equipment/capital equipment, along with Project Management skills to join their dynamic team. To be responsible for managing key product categories across Non-Food areas which may include, disposables, services, uniforms, and capex
Designs and implement category strategies that deliver financial and other performance targets such as Cost, Quality, Delivery, Innovation and Risk Management.
Ensure that the optimal balance between value for money and cost savings is achieved, while ensuring quality and excellent customer service .
Liaise with all stakeholders to communicate on new initiatives and ensure the service given is well received
Develop category plans to maximise spend coverage and compliance
Manages large and complex supplier relationships and categories of expenditure.
Plan and carries out activities that drive Procurement & Supply Chain's progress toward world class procurement.
Develops and maintains detailed supply market knowledge and tools that drive innovative sourcing solutions
Develop and implement rigorous contracts for all critical, strategic and preferred suppliers
Drives supplier and product/service rationalisation through cross-functional reviews with the Procurement Director for UK&E
Experience of working within a Catering, Food or Food service environment preferred
Previous working experience within Non-Food categories
Ability to liaise strongly with stakeholders
Experience of managing and working closely with suppliers to ensure product delivery and efficiency
