This is a truly Global transformational procurement role with an industry leading manufacturing company - to be responsible for the implementation of a central procurement strategy, in a disbanded, highly-decentralised business.

The company is a $4.5bn turnover NYSE listed organisation, which creates cutting edge capital equipment, for multiple industries. At present, the business is enjoying significant increases in both net sales and profits compared with 2017. 18 months ago, the board identified their three key priorities for the coming 5 years - procurement was identified as an area which could create long term value, to ensure the continuing success of the business. With this executive endorsement, the company are investing heavily in the function, and as such, this new position has been created.

Your role will be to deliver the centralisation strategy by engaging stakeholders in the operating companies around the world; by understanding their needs, identifying areas for improvement and educating them on the benefits of a centralised function, you will be able to secure their support, and deliver strong bottom line results for the business.

You will be responsible for managing culturally diverse, cross-functional teams consisting of procurement professionals and subject matter experts, to carry out your role as the Category Director for Electrical Components and Cabins. It is particularly important that you have good knowledge / understanding of direct procurement, ideally in a decentralised environment, a degree (ideally within an engineering discipline), and can read / understand / interpret technical drawings.

• €130,000-€150,000 Base Salary
