My client is an manufacturer within the Aerospace Industry who develop, build and market aircraft for clients across the world.
As one of the most recognised brand in this sector, they employ in excess of 100,000 people globally and have multi-billion pound turnover each year.
They are hiring a Procurement Assistant to act as a project manager to perform procurement projects and tenders across two sites in the South West.
The role will revolve around working with internal customers to manage upfront project planning, coordinating information flow from the internal customers into procurement. You will be working with customers on a daily basis to manage the relationship ensuring positive win-win results.
You will be working on initiatives contributing towards to organisation's savings programmes using the levers or requirements, challenging technical specifications, volume aggregation and control of the demand.
To do this role you will have;
- Experience of using SAP
- Experience of Procurement/Purchasing/Supply Chain
- Proactive attitude and the ability to work within a multi-cultural team
- The ability to think innovatively
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Good negotiation skills - both written and verbal
