1st Executive are currently working with a progressive local authority who are currently undertaking a large regeneration project. This is a fantastic opportunity for an upward track professional that is looking to develop their career within procurement and contract management. You will gain valuable experience supporting a Procurement function undertaking a journey of transformation, whilst leading a small team of direct reports

Role:

  • Design and implement procurement strategies across the breadth of the FM category encompassing Hard Services, Soft Services and Consumables
  • Oversee and Negotiate the contractual agreements across the Category spend of £10m
  • Drive engagement and develop relationships with key stakeholders across the organisation; with a view to positioning Procurement as a trusted partner delivering a value-add service
  • In turn, the jobholder will ensure all the cost saving opportunities are maximised
  • Play a key role in supporting the design and development of Procurement & Contracts Management process, policy and procedures

Experience:

  • Experience of both Procurement & Contracts Management gained within the Indirect Category space
  • Excellent track record of engaging and influencing key stakeholders
  • Legal awareness of contract risks & drafting bespoke contract terms to high standard
  • Experience in leading a small team of direct reports
  • Experience in supporting the design and implementation of key procedures within the function
  • Experience working in a highly regulated environment (OJEU)
  • Ideally Degree & MCIPS qualified
