Role: Junior Buyer
Location: Colchester, Essex
Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 p/a
Requirement: Support Engineering firm with administration duties in purchasing and buying activity
Opportunity: This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic and self motivated individual to join a thriving engineering business who are looking for a Junior Buyer to join the administration and operations team supporting in activity across purchasing function.
Are you good at juggling multiple projects and delivering accurate documentation in a challenging environment, responding to supplier needs and engineers requests within tight deadlines? This is an opportunity to develop your career in Supply Chain and Procurement with a fantastic international business, you will work closely with engineers and operations to provide purchasing support across a range of activity. You will need to be good at recognising priorities and coordinating logistical company arrangements.
Core Function: Carrying out purchasing activity in line with company expectations concerning price, quality and delivery
- Controls costs
- Obtains quotes and negotiates prices
- Raises purchase orders
- Follows-up on deliveries
- Updates records
- Rectifies problems
- Controls stock.
