An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious IT Procurement Manager to join a prominent, market leading business in Basingstoke.

The Company

A well-known organisation employing over 7,000 people across the UK, based in spacious modern offices in Basingstoke.

The Role

Working alongside the Group IT Category Manager, you will assist in delivering the category plan he has built, with a view to developing and implementing a full category strategy next year. You will help manage overall IT spend of £60-70m across both Capex and Opex, driving revenue generation as well as making aggressive savings.

Minimum Requirements

• Experience in IT Procurement as a Category Manager / Senior Buyer (minimum 2 years)
• Some exposure to category strategy planning
• First rate interpersonal and communication skills; adept at building and maintaining relationships and influencing decisions
• Ability to engage with and gain buy-in from mid to senior level stakeholders
• A relevant degree and/or CIPS L4 or above (desirable)
