Job Overview:
The primary responsibility of the Transport & Logistics Manager is to support the Global Transportation Manager with transport operational and monitoring activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organise and support regular Business Performance reviews on Key Performance Indicators with strategic Transport Service Providers (Global and Regional)
- Manage regular communication and reporting on key transportation metrics on agreed geographic scope
- Support QA teams with regard to deviations management, corrective and preventive actions, Change Requests and other QA investigations
- Actively participate to the sourcing, selection, contract management and deployment of transport partner together with Procurement, Quality and Legal
- Lead and/ or actively support the implementation of global or regional initiatives on transportation network optimization: sea freight, temperature monitoring solutions, forwarders portfolio optimization
- Support QA GDP teams and sites to deploy new Global QA GDP SOPs on transportation, temperature monitoring and risk mitigation plans
- Support sites to maintain transport master data in SAP (dates of collection, planned delivery times, Incoterms, etc).
- Support maintain a global cost to serve database to support plants, business development teams and other GMS function to evaluate end to end products costs
- Assess the network capacity utilisation.
- Report status on projects on a monthly basis
- Validate transport invoices of selected transport providers
- Review carrier invoices against agreed rates and internal guidelines on agreed geographical scope
Required skills, knowledge and abilities:
- Minimum 2 years of experience from Supply Chain Management including distribution, transportation and channel management preferably within the pharmaceutical or Fast-Moving Consumer Goods industries
- In-depth comprehension of the different Supply Chain Management techniques and distribution models and systems
- Experience in transport management and regulations
- Grasp and understanding of the pharmaceutical industry from a business and regulatory perspective (e.g. Good Distribution Practice Guidelines)
- Knowledge and experience of the European third-party logistics market
- Written and oral fluency in English

Educational background:
- Relevant degree in Supply Chain Management and/or Business Management
Travel requirements:
- EU domestic expected for less than 10% of the time
