One of the worlds largest and most innovative chemical firms has an urgent requirement for an Interim Supply Chain Planner.

This is a 12-month interim contract offering up to £39 p/h inside IR35. Hybrid working between WFH and Manchester Offices.

The Planning Contractor will perform the role of a Supply Chain Planner and will be accountable for a small portfolio of active ingredients.

Responsibilities will include creating a rough-cut manufacturing plan across a 27 month horizon to meet the sales forecast, issuing purchase orders for active ingredient to achieve the manufacturing plan, managing inventories, participating in new product launch teams and communicating and resolving any opportunities or issues.

Key competencies:

Applicants must have a background in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Finance and have SAP experience

Accountabilities:

Coordinate, develop or advise a team of junior professionals and/or individual contributors supporting the production & supply function in a defined asset/building/unit.

Ensure day to day operations are carried out and effective delivery against annual objectives and budgets. Supports and drives production & supply initiatives and data collection and analysis for specific KPIs.

Maintain and support systems (e.g., SAP, NOE, Team spaces). Analyze and agree production plans which include some input into short to medium-term planning of human and material resources. Lead major projects across the area.

Analyze and agree production plans which may include some input into short to medium-term planning of human and material resources. Requires knowledge and understanding within relevant area which would typically be gained through minimum 2 years of relevant experience May manage small expense budget (up to 0.5mio USD).
