Interim Senior Supplier Manager (CAPEX & Construction) required to join an Aerospace company in Cambridgeshire on an initial 6 month contract paying £450 per day. The focus will be on identifying and implementing bottom-line cost savings whilst introducing best-practice procurement processes.

In 2018, the business conducted a review of its current procurement operation compared with best-practice and identified significant additional value-creation opportunities. The opportunities in this area range from re-defining the specification of the services and equipment that the business requires, through to strategic supplier relationship management of services to looking to leverage group-wide contracts over a number of sites.

The primary focus will be on influencing the stakeholder community, designing-for-cost, managing the sourcing process, negotiating for the best overall long-term value, being the operation conduit for "group strategies and contracts", delivering supplier performance improvement and leading the management of the supplier relationship.

You must be able to demonstrate;

• CAPEX & Construction Category / Contract Management experience with a demonstrable track record of achieving strategic change within the category.
• Experience of working within a multi-site business
• Recent NEC3 experience and an understanding of OJEU principles.
• Excellent supplier and stakeholder relationship management skills

Rate; £450 per day

Duration: 6 months
