An Interim Senior Contracts Officer at £275-325p/d is required for a London based local authority. A 6 month initial contract in London, likely to extend, and providing long term stability, this is an exciting opportunity within strategic Contracts Management and oversight for a candidate who is looking to develop their experience within a large public sector body with significant portfolio spend.

Role:

• To provide contract management support across the Commissioning Directorate to ensure that maximum value is derived from all contracts with responsibility for a portfolio of contracts of up to c. £150m
• To ensure that contracts within the Children's Commissioning Directorate fulfil their contractual requirements and added value in relation to delivery of strategic objectives, service outcomes, value for money and savings
• To contract manage a portfolio of strategic and priority contracts within the Children's Commissioning Team, with responsibility at each stage of the Commissioning Cycle
• To identify, manage and mitigate contract and commercial and service risks through effective contract and commercial management

Required Skills:

• Public Sector Contracts Management experience
• Children's/Adult's Services category experience (highly desired)
• Post-award contracts experience in a procurement/commissioning facing environment
