1st Executive have been retained by a leading public sector body to recruit an interim procurement manager for an initial 3 month contract to lead procurement across Adult Social Care categories.
The role that we are recruiting to sits within the Strategic Procurement Team.
This team provides direct localised support to customers, providing expertise on tendering activity and contributing to the delivery of service objectives, savings and other benefits, including social value.
The Procurement Manager role will also work closely with colleagues in the other functional teams that sit within Procurement, providing support for Category Strategy development and supply chain engagement. Cross-functional working and matrix management is key to this role.
- Procurement expertise, leading projects across a range of commercial, category and sourcing activities;
- Experience in building strong stakeholder relationships
- Great communication skills.
- Public sector experience and sound knowledge of EU procurement regulations is preferred.
