1st Executive have been retained by one the largest airlines in the United Kingdom who are looking to recruit an Interim Category Lead for Catering. This is an excellent opportunity to join a rapidly expanding procurement function during an exciting period of transformation.

The role reports into the Head of Category - Catering and will be supporting a major tender for inflight catering services. Contracts involved cover £200m per annum of spend and the likely contract awards will be worth between £2-3bn over a 10 year contract period. The project is currently expected to run until Nov/Dec so the contract is likely to run for 6-12 months.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate;

  • Previous experience implementing global contracts for inflight catering
  • Senior level experience of partnering with Senior Leaders and Executives in a fast moving and agile business environment in a complex global organisation across multiple countries and cultures.
  • Experience of working in an environment of change involving people, process, policy and technology.

Location: London

Rate: up to £500 per day

Duration: 6 - 12 months
