Process Automation & Digitalisation Specialist - Supply Operations
Location: Manchester (Hybrid, 2 days in office)
Duration: 12-Month Contract
Rate: £30 per hour (Umbrella, Inside IR35)
Client: Leading Science organisation
We're partnering with a global Science organisation undergoing a major Supply Operations transformation programme and looking for a Process Automation & Digitalisation Specialist to help shape smarter, more connected ways of working.
This is an opportunity to combine technical capability with operational impact-designing automation solutions, building digital tools, and enabling teams to work faster, smarter, and with greater visibility across supply operations.
Role:
- Designing and deploying automation solutions to reduce manual activity across operational processes
- Building workflows for reporting, validation, exception management, document processing, and notifications
- Supporting development of AI and analytics solutions to improve decision-making and operational insight
- Creating dashboards, prototypes, proof-of-concepts, and scalable digital tools
- Integrating solutions with enterprise systems including ERP, planning, reporting, and collaboration platforms
- Developing documentation, user guidance, and knowledge transfer materials
- Partnering with operations and technology teams to translate business challenges into practical technical solutions
- Identifying opportunities to simplify, standardise, and continuously improve operational performance
Requirements:
- Experience delivering process automation and digital solutions
- Some exposure to AI / ML technologies, analytics tools, or intelligent automation
- Data capability across SQL, Power BI, Excel automation, Databricks, or equivalent tools
- Experience integrating systems using APIs and multiple data sources
- Knowledge of ERP platforms (SAP experience highly beneficial)
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities and delivering in fast-moving environments
- Able to communicate technical solutions clearly to non-technical stakeholders
Nice to Have
- Experience within supply chain, logistics, manufacturing, or operational environments
- Exposure to cloud technologies
