Interim Digital Category Manager - £440 per day (inside) Remote

Currently recruiting an Interim Category Manager, with specific digital Commercial experience, to join my public sector client and lead the development and ongoing management of commercial strategies.

This role is an initial 4 month contract, with potential to extend, paying up to £440 per day (inside IR35, through umbrella).

This role is home based, but there will be some travel expected to Manchester / Leeds / London / Blackpool.

Responsibilities:

• Leading development and management of commercial strategies, liaising closely with stakeholders at all levels
• Ensure on-time delivery of objectives, ensuring all necessary process completion
• Develop contracts procedures to enhance commercial efficiencies
• Deliver agreed cost savings objectives
• Provide commercial advice
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers
• Reviewing and advising on governance documents and processes
• Support the development of a best in class commercial function
• Drive best practice and continuous improvement throughout the category
  
  

Required experience:

• Experience of working on complex procurement / commercial projects
• Strong industry knowledge and ability to provide category insight
• Commercially astute with strong communication negotiation and influencing skills.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple complex activities at any one time
• Ideally an understanding of public services procurement and associated supplier markets
• Ideally CIPS/IACCM
• Ability to travel to Manchester / Leeds / London / Blackpool.
