Interim Technical Accounting & Group Reporting Advisor

Duration: 12-Month Contract

Day Rate: £500 per day (Umbrella, Inside IR35)

Location: Berkshire, Hybrid (60/40)

We're supporting a major, global, Energy organisation through an exciting period of transformation and are looking for an experienced Technical Accounting & Group Reporting Advisor to join its central finance team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically strong accountant to work at the heart of a complex international business, providing expert IFRS guidance, supporting group reporting and consolidation, and advising on high-profile accounting matters.

What you'll be doing

• Provide expert technical accounting advice on complex and non-routine transactions.
• Interpret and apply IFRS across a global, multi-entity organisation.
• Support group consolidation and external financial reporting activities.
• Review and challenge accounting treatments to ensure compliance and best practice.
• Prepare technical accounting papers, position memos and supporting documentation.
• Partner with auditors and senior finance stakeholders on key accounting issues.
• Help deliver accurate, high-quality financial reporting across the business.

Requirements:

• ACA (or equivalent) qualified accountant.
• Strong hands-on technical accounting experience.
• Excellent knowledge of IFRS and its practical application.
• Proven experience in group reporting and consolidation.
• Ideally, a background in Big 4 Accounting Advisory (FAAS, CMAAS, Accounting Advisory or equivalent).
• Advantageous would be any exposure to sectors such as Energy, Manufacturing, FMCG or other complex international businesses.
