Job Title: Category Manager - Indirect Procurement

Location: Hybrid (London-based 1 or 2 days per week with occasional national travel)

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement category strategies
  • Lead sourcing, tendering and supplier selection activities
  • Deliver measurable cost savings and value creation
  • Manage supplier relationships and performance
  • Analyse spend, market trends and commercial opportunities
  • Drive compliance with procurement policies and frameworks
  • Support contract renewals, negotiations and risk management
  • Collaborate with operational and senior stakeholders
  • Champion innovation, sustainability and continuous improvement
  • Provide market intelligence and category expertise

Required Experience

  • 5+ years' experience within procurement or category management
  • Proven delivery of procurement savings and commercial value
  • Strong supplier management and negotiation skills
  • Experience managing indirect spend categories
  • Demonstrated stakeholder engagement and influencing capability
  • Experience leading procurement change initiatives

Skills & Qualifications

  • Excellent commercial and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities
  • Knowledge of contract management and procurement processes
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple business functions
  • Professional procurement qualification desirable (or working towards)
