Role: Indirects Category Buyer

Salary: Up to £50K + Excellent Benefits

Locations: Manchester| Coventry or Milton Keynes branch (+ hybrid working)

Role:

• You will benefit from a fantastic learning opportunity, working side by side with a high performing Head of Procurement on a daily basis
• You will be provided the opportunity to support a varied portfolio of strategic sourcing programmes, including new product development through to contract renewals, spanning the breadth of the Logistics categories
• You will utilise your natural sense of curiosity and inquisitive nature to really get "under the skin" of your stakeholders requirements
• In turn, you will present thoughtful and composed Category plans that are considerate of TCO and that drive value and reduce risk across the Logistics portfolio
• You will play a key role in contract negotiations - developing your skills in relation to both legal terminology and commercial models

Experience:

• You will demonstrate some experience of Indirects Procurement - ideally with a focus on Logistics
• You will be passionate about working in a vibrant, high-energy, people focussed business
• You will be inquisitive in nature, with the ability to demonsrate success in the nurturing of relationships with both internal stakeholders and external customers
• You will be able to demonstrate some experience of developing category sourcing strategies
• You will have some experience of using e-sourcing tools / P2P platforms (COUPA / ARIBA)
• Ideally, you will be Degree qualified
