Indirects Buyer

Our client is a Major Global Leisure Organisation who have a great opportunity for an indirects Buyer. You may have experience of general Indirects with some experience in IT Procurement or may have some general procurement skills but looking to train and develop further. This then, is an ideal role for you as training and development will be given.

The Role:

Group Procurement is a support organisation which offers procurement expertise, strategic sourcing and procurement compliance to all divisions within the Group across the globe. We are looking for a new Indirects Buyer to join our Procurement team, within Group Procurement.

As a specialist buyer, the Indirects buyer will work closely with key stakeholders, identifying Group-wide synergies and driving strategic procurement activity.

Responsibilities:

Negotiate, draft and review contracts for goods/services within assigned categories, on a global basis

Lead and co-ordinate sourcing activities within the assigned category area.

Develop and own the procurement strategy for this area

Manage procurement processes to meet audit and compliance requirements

Take accountability for clear communication of agreed strategies, procurement updates and contract information.

Plan, co-ordinate and prioritise all activities and projects.

Person Specification:

The ideal candidate will be of degree calibre or equivalent, in IT, Finance, Business Studies or Procurement and MCIPS Qualified or studying.

Demonstrated skill and experience in Indirects Procurement and contracts is ideal but training will be given

Demonstrable record in outsourcing methodologies and strong understanding of TUPE issues preferred

Be prepared to think in global terms for all procurement activities.

Must be flexible and adaptable to new processes, quick changes, new functions, organizations and personnel

Language skills would be an advantage but is not essential

Ability to lead, prioritise and manage complex projects and sourcing activities).

Ideally advanced skills with Microsoft Office IT packages - (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Ability to travel abroad is essential about 20% of the time.
