Role: Global Contract Manager - Engineering & Construction Services (EPC, EPCM, Civils, M&P, E&I)

Hybrid: London, ideally 2 days a week in the London office, 3 days WFH

Salary: £60-£80k + package

Excellent greenfield opportunity to sculpt, lead and influence globally within a fantastic O&G/Chemicals company as part of their rapid global expansion.

Greenfield role perfect for an experienced Contract and SRM Manager with global experience of Engineering & Construction Services across EPC, EPCM, Civils, M&P, E&I to bring best practice expertise to an exciting company embarking on a procurement transformation programme. You will play a pivotal role onbaording and managing EPC contracts with the largest suppliers, as well as sculpt and create global category management and SRM plans, with a high degree of visibility within the company globally.

You will be responsible for:

  • The development and implementation of global contract management strategies and processes
  • Manage global supplier performance through the relationship and application of contractual requirements, with a core focus on EPC
  • Negotiate complex agreements with appropriate incentive models
  • Lead the delivery of sub-contract management activities and other procurement-related activities which may be required by the business
  • Translate customer/project requirements into commercial documents
  • Understand mechanisms of mitigating risk associated with entering into commercial agreements
  • Focal point for project and suppliers regarding contract and supply base matters
  • Drives and leads strategies to influence business decisions throughout the project life cycle
  • Draft and prepare complex contract documentation using standard and non-standard format
  • Development of long-term value generation and risk mitigation strategies

You will ideally have:

  • EPC procurement/contracting experience! Ideally within an O&G or Chemicals environment
  • Experience of >€100M construction projects would be advantageous; knowledge of NEC and FIDIC contracts would be advantageous; experience of leading negotiations with EPCs / EPCMs globally is essential and specific experience of Asia and USA markets is advantageous
  • Commercially astute, with experience of assessing external supply markets and skilled in developing (and translating opportunities) into long-term category plans/ strategies
  • Knowledge and experience of leading tools, techniques and processes covering category strategy development
  • Ability to lead, persuade, influence internal business partners through a period of change, managing the transition and implementation of category management led procurement approach - tactically and strategically
  • Adept at drafting /reviewing/ negotiating contracts including MSAs and Global Framework Agreements
  • Willing to travel internationally
