Our client is a Major Global FMCG organisation with extensive growth within the business who are seeking an experienced Senior Packaging Buyer. The role offers excellent chance for progression and further development.

Role:

Your packaging experience would ideally polymers and plastic

You will be responsible for the following remit:
Identifying & adopting modern tools, techniques & processes to drive "world class" function
Involved in the delivery of the strategy re: Innovation, Factory efficiencies, Performance Packaging
Managing Supplier Relationship Management activity on a global basis (with the other Buyers in the team)
Develop market and commodity expertise, operating as a knowledge hub for the business
Working collaboratively with S&OP, CSR, and Innovation / NPI teams - delivering a "right first time "culture, reduce costs & improving speed to market
Driving cost out of the supply base
Driving supplier performance / improvement
Implementing strategy and driving category expertise

Requirements:
Excellent demonstrable PACKAGING SOURCING commodity experience
International / matrix environment Procurement experience preferred, though non-essential
Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skillsHighly developed stakeholder relationship management skills and experience
Demonstrable previous track record of successful Project Management
Knowledge of Packaging technology & processes highly advantageous
High degree of commercial acumen
