Commercial / contractual buyer required for an initial 12-month assignment with a leading Aerospace company in Bristol. The role is paying £20 p/h and is an excellent opportunity for anyone in the early stages of their procurement career who is keen to gain valuable experience with an international organisation.

The primary responsibilities of the role will include;

  • Management, reporting and conclusion of contractual claims in a timely manner
  • Evaluation and analysis of tenders and selection recommendations to internal stake holders
  • Management of contracts, amendments and other binding agreements
  • Provide regular reporting and action plans to internal stake holders. Support supplier performance and quality characteristics, internal/external, national/international process improvements on supplier performance
  • Support in data gathering and analysis of current market, existing suppliers and potential new entrants
  • Identify and assess supplier risk across all performance metrics (eg time cost quality) and lead / supports any improvement initiatives as required

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following experience:

  • Contractual governance, negotiation and award
  • Management of tendering activities including analysis, award, recommendation and presentation to stakeholders
  • Confidence in negotiating contractual T&C's and commercial claims with senior supplier representatives
  • Use of risk management tools and methodologies to capture, categorise and assess impact of supply chain risks and opportunities
  • Supplier management through KPI's and implementation of recovery actions to address delinquent supplier performance (eg time / cost / quality)
  • Use of SAP for creation and maintenance of master data, call up agreements and discreet purchase orders
  • Up to 5 years' experience in procurement and contractual management

Rate: £20 p/h
Duration: 12 months (end July 2019)
